e-GDS launches new Token&Pay add-on to automate booking payments in Channel Manager

e-GDS has developed a new backoffice add-on that allows the integration of a payment provider, facilitating the collection of all bookings directly in e-GDS Channel Manager.

Thinking about the whole billing process, the new needs imposed by PSD2, and how much these operations can be a problem and frustration for customers, e-GDS has developed a new backoffice add-on that allows the integration of a payment provider, facilitating the collection of all bookings directly in e-GDS Channel Manager.

It is still possible to see hotels struggling with the billing process due to lack of flexibility of cancellation conditions, as well as the lack of integrated and automated solutions. With the entry into force of the PSD2 regulations, hotels need more than ever to adapt their way of working and guarantee secure and reliable services.

With e-GDS Token&Pay, it is possible to choose to directly charge the reservations that integrate the e-GDS Channel Manager, define the amounts to be charged, in full or in part, and also customise the message to be sent to the customer, without ever seeing the guest's credit card details since this entire process is guaranteed by tokenising the cards.

This development and all those that are being announced by e-GDS aim to boost and enhance both revenue and efficiency in hotels, with intuitive, secure, flexible and integrated solutions.

e-GDS Token&Pay is already integrated with HiPay - a global payment platform with strong national and international expression that thanks to its agility, in a single backoffice, allows hotels to optimize their conversion rates.

Besides improving their services, hotels will increase security in the act of payment and protect their clients' data. In the tokenization process, credit card data is replaced by a digital token unique to a particular online transaction, protecting consumers' confidential information and hotels' operations, right from the e-GDS backoffice.
